Representatives with Louisiana College and the Louisiana Community and Technical College System signed a transfer articulation agreement Wednesday that will facilitate the acceptance of LCTCS students seeking a four-year degree from LC.

Under the agreement, LCTCS students who earn an associate degree in one of several areas with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher will be admitted to LC.

LCTCS students who have not earned an associate degree can also be admitted under certain conditions. Louisiana College will provide pre-transfer advising to LCTCS students through online, onsite, and telephone advising.

LCTCS has 13 technical and community colleges throughout the state. Each year, more than 15,000 LCTCS students transfer to four-year institutions according to the school. Louisiana College, located in Pineville, is a private, Baptist college of liberal arts and sciences.
