DO YOU HAVE A GREAT IDEA THAT WOULD DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE EDUCATION AS WE KNOW IT?
Be a Part of the Solution to Impact the Future of Education
If you’ve ever said, “if only we could do it this way, we’d be able to make more of an impact”, we want to hear your idea! In school break rooms, at happy hours, and on social media, we discuss the challenges with our education system and ways it should be improved. There is consensus that while we’ve made progress on many fronts in the last two decades, we need to find solutions that will improve outcomes for all students more quickly. Often, though, great ideas on the ground don’t effectively make their way to policymakers for implementation
Pathway 2 Tomorrow aspires to change that.
You Could Earn $15,000 for Sharing and Developing Your Ideas
Pathway 2 Tomorrow: Local Visions for America’s Future is in search of policy proposals and innovative, agile ideas as it builds a robust policy catalogue to support education policy implementation at the state level. The policy catalogue will be utilized by numerous state and local policymakers, education leaders and advocates to support policy priorities reflecting the unique needs of states. P2T will pay $15,000 for each policy paper included in the final policy catalogue.
Education leaders, governors, legislators, business leaders, and civil rights advocates agree that there is an opportunity to infuse new ideas into the conversation and support states to lead moving forward. The time to act is now.
Be a Part of the Solution Submit Your Proposal by August 31, 2018
The Call for Proposals is the first step to developing the policy catalogue. We welcome all ideas to positively transform the next phase of education and seek to hear broadly from all voices including educators, practitioners, researchers, advocates, non-profit leaders, and business leaders.
Proposals should be no more than 3 pages and capture the idea at a high-level. “Thought starters” are provided to inspire prospective ideas. Potential topics may include, but are not limited to, career and technical education, personalized learning, school innovation, technological innovations, effective and sustainable funding frameworks, and early childhood education. Proposals should be research-informed, innovative, and implementable, inclusive of both K-12 and higher education.
Submissions will be evaluated by a cross-professional group of educators, leaders and advocates from across the country. Selected proposals will advance to a subsequent phase of development to flesh out and refine the idea into a thorough policy paper. P2T is focused on identifying promising ideas and will provide support on policy development to those selected, as needed, especially those with minimal direct experience with education policy.
There is a tremendous opportunity to enact change through this initiative and contribute to the future direction of education. P2T’s call for proposals is a chance to get your ideas in front of policymakers, advocates, and education leaders to impact change at the state level.
